I entered the AP code after activating estore extra codes, and fancy id7. The player (standard WP audio player just shows “buffering” in differnt browsers and platforms.
The link is correct
thanx in advance
October 6, 2011 at 11:10 pm #37348adminKeymasterWhat value did you use in the “Digital Product URL” field of that product?
October 7, 2011 at 9:36 am #37349roamer44MemberI used the reference (to a zipped MP3 file which I want to sell. I changed the reference In digital product URL to a preview file which is unzipped, in another folder, and the player works! But I need a preview file to be played, not the full MP3, which should be zipped. How can I do this?
October 7, 2011 at 10:48 am #37350roamer44MemberPS I thought the file played should be the one in the product description URL
October 8, 2011 at 1:58 am #37351adminKeymasterI see what you want. The fancy7 and 8 are for compact display (no room for the description field) so it uses the mp3 file specified in the “Digital product URL” field directly to achieve a minimal setup.
We can potentially add another shortcode that is just like the fancy7 but instead it previews the mp3 file specified in the description field of the product.
October 10, 2011 at 10:13 pm #37352roamer44MemberYes, please do that – I bought the product because I understood it to be suitable for selling MP3s – which infers a standard preview system. If you can get a smart black colour into the box, like on another fancy, that would be great.
October 14, 2011 at 11:57 am #37353roamer44MemberI was wondering how long it is likely to be before this issue is resolved – using the present system, you have to insert the audio player manually to get a preview, and the rows are wide with fancy 1-6, meaning lots of scrolling. lots of musicians need a well-designed shop. You could then push your sales up. Otherwise it is a bit misleading and disappointing, when they read they can sell music and have obstacles after buying it! Thanx for your help.
October 15, 2011 at 3:31 am #37354adminKeymasterAdded a new shortcode for this. You can use the following shortcode which will produce a display just like the fancy7 display except it will show the product description field too:
[wp_eStore_fancy9 id=1]
You will be able to use the following shortcode in the product description field to place a mp3 preview of any desired mp3 file.
[wp_eStore_audio_player src="http://url-of-the-preview-mp3-file"]
You will need to get a newer build of the eStore extra shortcodes plugin. You can get it from here:

October 27, 2011 at 1:13 am #37356adminKeymasterYou have a typo in that shortcode. Please copy and paste it from the shortcode list PDF file. The letter “S” is uppercase (not lowercase)
wp_eStore_audio_player
November 3, 2011 at 10:15 am #37357roamer44MemberThanx. It works! If you can get the add to cart buttons all showing up in a standard column, that would look tidier
