Hi, I have added a video on this page [http://www.newdawnreboot.com/welcome-resident/] It works fine on my system(on VLC player/Windows 7, audio and video is in synch) but on the site the audio comes first and then the video (there is a slight lag, one can watch it to know)
This happens every time i add a video to my site. The video has been encoded in h264 format using handbrake software. What is the issue?
Hi, I don’t think there is anything wrong with the video encoding. It’s how the video is. I played it using Windows Media player and it did the same thing.
Update: I’m not sure what is wrong with the video but this is what I have done and it seemed to have fixed the issue –
1. Open the source video file in HandBrake
2. Select the destination directory for the video output on your computer (example: …/videos/video.mp4)
3. Set the Presets from Regular->Normal
to Devices->Universal
, which will also change the file extension to .m4v (example: video.m4v)
4. Change the extension back to .mp4 (video.mp4)
5. Click the “Start” button
I followed your instructions and uploaded the video, but it is still the same! But it works well in VLC. Please have a look at the page/video.
Hi, I tested your new video on Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari. It’s working fine now.
no it doesn’t I tried on several browsers, there is still the lag, observe the lips and the audio, you will know the difference
I also just tried viewing your video in Chrome and FF and it looks fine to me.
If there is a lag between voice and video it is not obvious at all.
