Hi,
I am blogging photo trips and selling the resulting images. I want to create a post about each trip, post one image from the trip in the blog post, and a link to the trip gallery for that post and sell photos/prints in the gallerie(s) of course.
What’s the easiest way to do this? I would like to link back to the post from its gallery too.
I would also like ALL the images from the trip galleries to be searchable. Can I assign tags to each image to make it easier to locate?
Thanks!

I guess there’s really only one way to do that and it is manually create the post and choose one of the images to embed in that post and grab the link to the gallery page and paste it somewhere in the post’s content. In other words, there is nothing automated which the photo seller plugin can do for you here.
I would like to link back to the post from its gallery too.
For this step, you will obviously firstly need to create your gallery. After you’ve done that the plugin would have automatically created a gallery page for the front-end which will contain all of the thumbnail images inside that gallery.
Simply go to the wordpress pages menu and find that page and edit it and manually add your post link either before or after the shortcode.

Are you referring to local search on your website or google SEO type search?

Thanks!
January 5, 2015 at 9:56 pm #67761PeterMemberCurrently the plugin will perform searches by checking the following photo criteria:
– image description and alt text
– image caption/excerpt
– image title
– image file name
Therefore you can add your relevant search strings in any or all of the above fields for an individual photo.
Eg, to add something to the “description” and/or “alt text” you simply need to go to the gallery settings page and click on the “Edit” link for the particular photo you are interested in.
