Tagged: pay per view, WP eStore
Hi,
I am planning to use WP EStore for my Pay Per View Videos. I have a small doubt for which I couldn’t find the answer. I am selling video courses on Pay per View mode (without access limits).
In your documentation and video you mention that, after purchase, a customer will get an email with a link that leads to the protected content. But my question is, what if the customer then forwards that email to someone else? Will that person also be able to click that link and watch the video?
This question won’t arise, i suppose if I time limit access to the video course pages either by time limit or views limit. But if I want to keep the no-access-limitation feature, then I am wondering if the link on the email that reaches the customer will be non-transferable to someone else to misuse.
Thanks for your reply.

They can share the link, all they want. What happens next, depends on how you configured the behavior of the plugin. You can configure the links to expire after so-many clicks, or by number of hours

If you wanted to limit the download links only to specific people; consider adding eMember to eStore, and then only sell to your members.
