Tagged: APR cookie protection, eStore APR
Checking a website search feature today I noticed an APR download page was included in the search results.
Clicking on the link brought the page complete with individual digital files for download. I tested the download from this page from on Chrome and Firefox browsers and audio files could be downloaded from each browser even though they were supposed to be protected through cookies.
I tried adjusting the time limit according to the article below, since I had bought that particular APR page about two weeks ago to test it.
However it was still possible to view and download the files. After reading the article my understanding was that content within the wp_eStore_APR tag should not even be visible without having the cookie.
The code I used is:
[wp_eStore_APR expiry=2880 status=unexpired]
[wp_eStore_download_now_button_fancy_no_price id=39]
[wp_eStore_APR]
What am I doing wrong?
Hi,
I can see that for starters you are missing the “/” in the ending shortcode tag. ie,
you have:
[wp_eStore_APR]
You should have the following:
[/wp_eStore_APR]

Ah magic. Thank you guys.
I have a nice blank page now, which is very comforting
I really should have spotted something like that – ho hum.
