Is there anyway to disable the comments feature.

my boss doesn’t want people being able to comment on the photos.

Disable comments? As in the regular WordPress page comments?

The comments on your pots and pages are controlled by your theme. By default comments on pages are disabled. However, your theme may have it enabled. You should be able to ask your theme developer how to disable comment on pages to get help.
