Tagged: clicks, estore, Google Analytics, tracking, wpestore
Is there anyway to have tracking for individual clicks on any wpestore buy now button or any image?
From what I understand you can’t have any text links that work with wpestore so you have to use images.
Can I track those clicks to see how many people are actually adding something to their cart but not buying?
Google Analytics http://www.google.com/analytics/
They have a traffic map overlay feature that highlights which links get clicked and by what amount.
Google analytics also allow you to create goal pages for example in my case I have setup the following goal page.
Visitor goes to sales page -> Click the add to cart button and automatically get redirected to the checkout page
Google analytics can keep track of how many visitors fulfilled a goal. This number is the number of people who added items to the cart.
Okay, are you saying that the only way for google analytics to track who clicks on a wpestore button is by having them go to a checkout page?
There is no way to track a wpestore button click by itself? They click on the button and the cart anchor shows up and they check out through paypal. That won’t work?
Is wpestore going to have functionality soon to where we can have text links that aren’t images?
eStore button has got nothing to do with it. Do you have code to track Analytics for when a button is clicked? I am talking about any button. Once you have that code ready I can tell you where you can insert it in eStore so it tracks the button click of eStore’s button.
I do track with google analytics. I’m using the google analyticator plugin for this particular site. I’m also using code for google optimizer for testing as well as the conversion tracking code.
Please tell me what part of that code I need to be able to track the estore buttons.
Thank you!
