I just deleted the existing copy of the plugin and reloaded a fresh copy of the plugin from our server and then tested the manual stamping and it seems to be working fine now. Check it out now.
February 11, 2013 at 2:50 pm #24391nikolaMemberHi,
I came about this post after searching for a solution to an error message:
Error! Message: Cannot open /home/npvdistr/public_html/dating/dating/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/pdf-stamper-sample-ebook.pdf ! Error Code: 1
This shows after entering name and e-mail address on this page [http://zabavnizapoznanstva.com/epay-jkninoin09oin]
You can notice that the path is not correct and the folder ‘dating’ is repeated.
I tried file path conversion Method 2 and the same message came up. Manual Conversion works and generatingn a link via the admin functions works as well.
Any advice?
Thanks!
Nikola
February 12, 2013 at 5:43 am #24392adminKeymasterHi Nikola, What shortcode did you use on that page to embed the squeeze form?
What version of eStore and PDF Stamper plugins are you using?
What do you mean by “Manual Conversion works”? You mean the manual stamping works?
Who is your hosting provider?
February 12, 2013 at 7:18 am #24393nikolaMemberHello,
Form shortcode – [wp_eStore_free_download_squeeze_form id=2]
eStore – Version v6.9.6.8
PDF Stamper – Version 4.1.9
Manual Stamping works, sorry.
Hosting provider is superhosting.bg (cpanel admin area, I use an add-on domain, pointing to a WP installation in a subdirectory)
Thanks,
Nikola
February 13, 2013 at 3:10 am #24394adminKeymasterYeah, that add on domain path is causing the issue I think. I will need to take a look at your path structure on this server to get to the bottom of this. I sent you an email to get access to your site so I can check it out.
February 13, 2013 at 8:11 am #24395nikolaMemberI have replied with all the required info.
Thanks,
Nikola
February 14, 2013 at 3:41 am #24396adminKeymaster@Nikola, This server is translating the addon domain path in a slightly weird way. I added another path conversion method (Method 3) in the PDF Stamper plugin settings. This option will work fine on this server.
February 17, 2013 at 10:14 am #24397rafa.serranoMemberI’m trying to manual stamp in my new Amazon EC2 wordpress. Min requirement checker shows everything is ok. Pdf is accesible through website, but I get “Error Code: 1” too.
Even if I try to stamp your test pdf (inserting your url) I get the same error.
I have tried to change path conversion and stamping method but nothing works.
The link for the pdf is [http://54.245.246.221/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/luna.pdf]
The plugin is fresh installed, license key deactivated from old server and activated at amazon.
I have gone through the checklist but don’t know what else to check.
February 17, 2013 at 11:09 pm #24398wpCommerceModeratorHi, I just directly entered the PDF URL in the browser address bar and received a 404 error. This means you have a typo in the PDF file URL. Please read the checklist item 4 again. Correct the URL of the PDF file and then try again.
February 18, 2013 at 5:38 pm #24399rafa.serranoMemberI’m sorry. The url is [http://54.245.246.221/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/luna.pdf]
It is accesible through the browser but the stamper doesn’t work. Requirements checker says everything is ok… Perhaps there is a problem with the plugin, because it doesn’t work in the other hosting I tried (greengeeks, it stamped only sometimes, without changing the file to stamp nor settings). This URL is in Amazon EC2, uploaded through the plugin uploader.
Update: Now the error code has changed to: Error! Error Object ( [message] => Cannot copy file [path-to-file] to [path-to-new-file] => 14 )
When I access the stamped files folder through SSH the location is: /home/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/wp-pdf-stamper/stamped-files
But I see the stamper tries to save to
/opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wp-pdf-stamper/stamped-files/
not: /home…
on the other hand, the uploads folder is ok (/opt/…)[code] => 14 )

February 18, 2013 at 10:00 pm #24400wpCommerceModeratorHi, This could be related to “File Permission” issue (Checklist 12):
Stamping Error Checklist – an error occurred while trying to stamp the file
We also had another user whose server was running out of space:
December 25, 2013 at 1:02 am #24401wrcaccessSpectatorI get the following error when I use manual stamping.
WP PDF Stamper – Manual Stamping
Fatal error:
The encoded file /home/into1mil/public_html/member/wp-content/path/to/plugin/file/ is corrupt. in Unknown on line 0
I have used member referral url as the stamp so they can get referrals passing the pdf
…/member/?ap_id=[wp_affiliate_referrer]
December 25, 2013 at 1:16 am #24402wzpModeratorIf the PHP file is corrupt, please try deactivating the license, uninstalling the plugin, and reinstalling/reactivating a “fresh copy” of the plugin.

Also, if you are using FTP to install the plugin files, please remember to use the Binary Transfer Mode.
December 25, 2013 at 1:26 am #24403wrcaccessSpectatorI re-uploaded via wp and it works fine for now. Thanks.
August 3, 2014 at 12:18 am #24404BjeddMemberI have been trying to figure out why the manual stamping just hangs and all I get is a white screen with the page title. I don’t get any error and the debug file is empty. I have tried all the alternate methods, checklists and re-uploading the file (binary). I have also checked against all other plugins for compatibility. The only thing I haven’t done is check against the theme, but it is Genesis and I have to use it.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
