Hi, I’ve just installed PDF Stamper (version 3.3.4, WordPress 3.1.2, PHP 5.2.17, CURL present, Ioncube present). Installation went fine, but when I try to stamp a file I get the “An error occurred while trying to stamp the file!” error message.
I have gone through the PDF File Creation Checklist. I am attempting to manually stamp the file, using the default settings and the pdf-stamper-sample-ebook (which I have put in the source files directory). The file has 644 permissions, both source and destination folders have 755.
Still no joy.
What next?

Can you please post the URL of the PDF File that you are trying to stamp (the value that you are using in the “URL of the source file” field of the manual stamp menu)

Thanks for the quick response.
Yes, I did mean the checklist from that thread.
The source file URL is http://www.copperpieces.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-pdf-stamper/source-files/pdf-stamper-sample-ebook.pdf

May 25, 2011 at 3:19 pm #32822ben.rolfeMemberThanks so much for working this out. It’s nice when things just work, but it’s even nicer to know that you’ve got excellent support when something goes wrong.
I’ll see if the guys at fraxion can allow your plugin preferential access to PDFs.
I should’ve thought to try disabling plugins – might be a good idea to add that to the checklist.

May 26, 2012 at 1:39 am #32824adminKeymasterOne of the following two things is happening:
1) You have entered a wrong URL of your PDF file
or
2) The PDF File you are using as the source file is encrypted and cannot be edited.
Please go through this checklist which will help you sort out the mistake:
