Tips and Tricks HQ Support Portal › Forums › WP Lightbox Ultimate › Amazon S3: why Make everything public???
Hi, I’m trying to embed a video in my membership web with Lightbox Ultimate + Amazon S3 with CloudFront.
I’m following instructions at http://lightbox.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wp-content/uploads/lightbox-ult-doc/wp-lightbox-ultimate-amazon-cloudfront-video-integration.pdf
At step 7.c you wrote: “On the Set Permissions page, click Make everything public.”
Why should I do this? If I set a bucket public everyone with the url link can watch the video right? Shouldn’t we make the bucket private and through the KEY and SECRET KEY grant access to only one user trough the plug-in?
Hi, Unfortunately we don’t support private videos in our Amazon Cloudfront integration. If you wish to keep your videos private please try our Amazon S3 integration instead.
