I am running WP Lightbox Ultimate v2.0.9, in WordPress 3.8.1, with Headway Theme.
I am trying to play a video from my Amazon s3 and Cloudfront account. This is my shortcode: [wp_lightbox_ultimate_amazon_s3_cloudfront video=”https://s3.amazonaws.com/othersvideos/Bad+Advisors.mp4″ domain=”s135tlfi8x4bga.cloudfront.net” width=”640″ height=”480″ title=”title goes here” anchor_type=”text” text=”click here to open the video”]
I copied and pasted these directly from my Amazon account pages. I set my Cloudfront to play RTMP.
Here is the page I’m working on: [http://www.smartretirementstrategies.com/bad-advisors/]
The link as close to the bottom of the page. The lightbox opens, but I get an error message that says: flash: Video file not found. At the bottom of the lightbox it says this: Adobe Flash is disabled for this page, click payer area to enable.
I don’t know what to do.
Please advise.
Marc
March 11, 2014 at 4:32 am #61474wpCommerceModeratorHi, you don’t need to specify the full URL to the video. Please enter the shortcode like the following:
[wp_lightbox_ultimate_amazon_s3_cloudfront video="othersvideos/bad-advisors.mp4" domain="s135tlfi8x4bga.cloudfront.net" width="640" height="480" title="title goes here" anchor_type="text" text="click here to open the video"]
You also need to make sure that name of your video is web friendly. So probably change the name to something like the following:
bad-advisors.mp4
orbadadvisors.mp4
March 11, 2014 at 5:52 am #61475Marc52MemberThank you. It’s getting closer. I changed the name of the file to bad-advisors.mp4, as you wrote in your shortcode. And then I copied and pasted your shortcode onto my page (replacing the old shortcode).
Now, when I click the arrow, three little dots act like it’s loading, but nothing plays. The screen stays dark.
Sorry to be a problem.
Would I be better off not using Cloudfront? Would it be better just using Amazon s3?
What do you suggest?
March 11, 2014 at 6:21 am #61476wpCommerceModeratorhave you encoded the video properly?
Cloudfront is good for streaming video. It provides “seek functionality” in the player. So you can skip to a particular time even though the video has not been fully buffered. Also it saves bandwidth. But if are not looking for those features you can just use Amazon S3.
March 11, 2014 at 8:47 am #61477Marc52MemberHi, just to test, I installed the JW player and the video plays fine. Why do you think I’m having trouble with the lightbox? I’d much rather have the lightbox effect, but I need it to play.
Any suggestions?

You should have full access now.
March 13, 2014 at 5:25 pm #61480Marc52MemberHi, how’s it coming. I see it’s still not working. Have you had a chance to find out why it’s not working? Were you able to login to my site and take a look?

March 27, 2014 at 1:56 pm #61482jetroseMemberI had a similar problem. I had to revert back to version 2.0.4
Kindly advise if there is an updated version or another way to avoid this error
April 2, 2014 at 4:23 am #61483wpCommerceModerator@jetrose, sorry for the delay. Somehow we missed this thread.
What issue are you exactly having? Can you please provide a link to the page in question so I can take a look?
