Is setting ‘Use Server Side Encryption’ set to yes just before uploading digital files for use with estore a good or bad thing? Should I click yes, does it effect estore’s non private links?
Server side encryption does not add value; unless you are trying to protect your uploaded files against being turned over to the FBI, AFP, Interpol, et al.
If you want to use Amazon S3 with eStore, please see these integration instructions:
Please be aware that, this integration does not work with Amazon regions that came into existence after January 30, 2014 (and the older ones, as they are upgraded). We are working on an eStore update for this. In the meantime, here are the regions known to work* with the existing (Signature Version 2) integration:
us-east-1 (N. Virginia)’)
us-west-1 (N. California)
us-west-2 (Oregon)
ap-southeast-1 (Singapore)
ap-northeast-1 (Tokyo)
ap-southeast-2 (Sydney)
sa-east-1 (Sao Paulo)
*List of Signature Version 2 regions:

I already have s3 and estore set up – dont remember reading about regions that didnt work but anyway, im using us-east-1
which sounds like it will continue to be fine.
