Hi, I have set up estore for Amazon S3. No problem.
I have constructed the S3 link. No problem
I have created a product and added the constructed link. No problem
When the buyer purchases and has the ‘encrypted’ download link in their email, they click on it. But then the URL in the pop up window where the video is downloading from S3 is the original link showing:
I thought that this link is encrypted to no one can see the actual link?
Also in IE I do not get an option to save the filve it just opens up and plays when it has downloaded. This is NOT what I am after. I want to be able to SAVE the file to the PC.
If I make the file on S3 PUBLIC and use the link that they provide https…….. then I get the chance to save the file to my PC and the encrypted link stays encrypted in the URL.
OK after all of that here is what I need. I need to make the encrypted link always encrypted, even in the URL, and also I need the option of saving the file to the PC. It seems that I can not have both?

You just need to make sure you make your files in amazon s3 “Private”. When you upload a file to your amazon s3 account, you can make it private. Edit that file and apply permission to make it private if it isn’t private already (if you don’t make a file public, then no one can download that file other than going via the encrypted link eStore creates after a purchase).
Regarding the file playing automatically –
Please see this for an explanation of why this is occuring:
