Are you considering adding them? https://payments.amazon.com/sdui/sdui/business?sn=devfps/o
Is there any way I can add them to my cart?
May 25, 2010 at 2:04 am #20911amin007ParticipantI don’t have “Amazon” in my list yet. After I release the “Authorize.net” payment gateway I would like to work on Google Checkout.
If you are a developer who can code in PHP then you should be able to add them to the cart yourself (I can definitely give you some guidance).
May 25, 2010 at 4:27 am #20912paymonicaMemberThank you. I’ll look at it and see what I can do. (Will have questions for sure if I take this project on).
Love your cart!
August 1, 2010 at 5:13 pm #20913flholmanMemberHi,
We are attempting to add google checkout to our website. What do we have to do to accomplish this?
Is it by inserting a widget and adding the google code to the widget?
I am lost – please help!
Thanks in advance!

This page should have information that you are after:
October 21, 2010 at 3:07 am #20915JackAubreyMemberI’m eyeballing the Amazon payment system as well. I like the look of it and am definitely interested in knowing if anyone has any experience with it.
I’m sure that it’s no small task to add such integration to the plugin, but I’d be happy to be on the record in favor of this.
I’m sure you don’t have other things to do!

October 23, 2010 at 9:30 pm #20917JackAubreyMemberI was just re-reading something you said from earlier in the thread, about being able to integrate something like this with basic php skills. My php skills are middling at best, but how difficult do you think it would be to integrate something like Amazon payments? Is this something that I could do with a little guidance?
Just a thought.

October 24, 2010 at 2:03 am #20918amin007ParticipantIt will require some coding so I wouldn’t recommend you try it without good PHP skills.
You can get me 20 interested customers who want to use amazon payment gateway and I will add it (Just kidding)
So what is so special about the amazon payment gateway?
October 24, 2010 at 3:43 am #20919JackAubreyMemberIt allows customers to pay by using their existing amazon accounts (which nearly everyone has) and they don’t have to leave your own site to do it. The cost structure is basically identical to paypal, but Amazon also offers a much more robust support system (as far as I can tell) along with better customer support, etc.
About the only downside that I can see (after researching this for a couple of hours and emailing them with a few questions) is that folks without Amazon accounts can’t pay with this system. To take on paypal though, I’m guessing that they will likely change that in the future…
All the info is here:https://payments.amazon.com/sdui/sdui/index.htm
I’m sure there are 20 people who would be interested in this!!

November 16, 2010 at 2:36 pm #20921DFranzwaMemberI’d go on record as interested in the Amazon Payment option, too.
February 12, 2011 at 8:01 pm #20922SunnyMemberI’ll throw my name in the hat as interested in the Amazon system, too.
February 12, 2011 at 8:15 pm #20923SunnyMemberI just did some more research, and found a comparison of Paypal, Google Checkout and Amazon.
For digital downloads (like ebooks), I found this rather telling:
“Non-tangible goods
There’s very few processors who handle payments for non-tangible goods like digital downloads, consulting, and other services very well, 3rd party processors are hardly an exception. This is because a customer can make a chargeback with their card issuer for a number of reasons that are virtually un-challengable. Chargebacks like “product not as described” are almost impossible to beat even with superb descriptions, disclaimers, and anything else merchants try to throw at their customers. Until Visa/MC/Amex issuers change their chargeback policies, it’s unlikely that merchants will receive any relief from these types of chargebacks for non-tangible goods and services where the accuracy of the description is easily interpretable. Amazon is currently making the most public push to cater to digital sellers, and of the 3 they offer the most options and protection for this type of service.
Integration”
I am not affiliated with that website, or with any of the companies mentioned.
February 15, 2011 at 3:42 pm #20924erostadMemberI am also interested. I think you’re up to 5 names now! I would like to add Amazon Payments as an option for my client’s site. This site will have ebooks for sale and the thinking of the client is that the people who will be purchasing these specific books will be more likely to have Amazon accounts than PayPal accounts.
Is anyone aware of any existing documentation on how to implement Amazon Payments using PHP? If it will not be available on WP eStore for a while, I’d be interested in implementing it myself for the time being.
