Tagged: lightbox ultimate amazon s3
The documentation here
seemed to indicate you can allow members to download protected s3 content with the lightbox shortcode but it didn’t work for me…
Then the video here:
WordPress Lightbox Ultimate Plugin – Display Media in a Fancy Lightbox Overlay
made it seem like I needed to also get the estore plugin.
Is there a way to do this with just the lightbox plugin?
The lightbox ultimate plugin works all by itself. You don’t need eStore to show videos from your amazon S3 account via lightbox plugin.
Watch the first 7 minutes or so of the third video on this page:
http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wp-affiliate-link-manager/wp-lightbox-ultimate-video-tutorials-266
or on the following page (see the Usage section):
Each plugin independently allows you to access Amazon S3 protected content.
Check the shortcodes list to find a suitable shortcode for what you are after (there are lots of shortcodes available).
Thanks but I think I wasn’t clear on what I’m trying to do. I want members of my site to be able to not only stream but download and save the files to their device.
Peter, the 3rd video you suggested here:
http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wp-affiliate-link-manager/wp-lightbox-ultimate-video-tutorials-266
actually gets into it starting around the 8 minute mark but it shows you how to allow downloads using the estore plugin. I have only purchased the lightbox plugin and where I don’t need the other features of the estore plugin I was hoping to accomplish the download without also purchasing that.
thanks,
Hi, Please follow the instruction for using option 3(Place a Secure S3 File Download Option):
