Hi,
In our plugin, in the settings menu, “Allow Copy” is unchecked. But, the stamped pdf’s can still be copied to clipboard.
We’ve tested with your test pdf, too. It still doesn’t work.
What can be wrong?
Here’s how it works. You need to check “Enable PDF File Encryption”, whether you use password protection or not. I thought I need to check it only when using password protection for pdf files.
After selecting “Enable PDF File Encryption”, leaving “File Password” empty, and “Use Email as Password” unchecked; in this combination, the “Allow copy” is working fine. Copying is not allowed when the feature is unchecked.
On the performance side, it uses nearly same resources as if using password protection. So if anybody want to restrict the copy of the pdf file, it may can be better to consider using it with password protection as well, since it already uses the same resource.
Hello I HAVE A SIMILAR PROBLEM
I checked “Enable PDF File Encryption” – and the email as password function
the password part is working great – but its allowing copying even though i unchecked the allow copying function
I received your email also. I will communicate via email to organize access so I can check this on your site.
