Tagged: ppv
Hi, i just successfully set up everything (member and estore) and bought myself a product with the pay per view instruction. Everything fine.
But:
I wanted to know what happens when me or the customer deletes his cookies. So i deleted them. I can see the purchase in the purchase history, but when clicking on the product again i get the message “You dont have access” like for users who didnt buy. How can i or the customer get into the product (pay per view) again?
Next question:
Is it possible that the “buy now” or “add to cart” button disappears when user already bought the product? I tried it with the “members only button” plugin but that is only working on a subscription level and i want to do thatby product.
Did you setup PPV, according to the APR instructions?

When you delete the APR cookie, you cannot access any new content until you are issued a new cookie. Usually, this happens when you click the product download link, that is emailed to you.
Okay thanks . So it seems that i cannot do a video portal for PPV because when they delete cookies and for example bought 50 videos they have to click 50 times on different links Sad, because your tools work really good
Because i dont want that they can download the videos because of sharing so the download option isnt’ an option, too

Almost all browsers support the retention of “site specific cookies.” Simply tell users to add your site to that list. That way, if they have “delete cookies on exit” set, your cookies will be retained.
