Affiliates Referring Themselves And Receiving Commissions

Hey guys,

I have been noticing twice now that for my affiliates, two of them are receiving commissions for their own purchases.

Which is quite bizarre and I believe it is a flaw in your system or it was something that was overlooked because a person who clicks on their own affiliate link (and you know they are going to, especially in their affiliate portal area) should not receive a commission for making a purchase because they have now cookied themselves.

What can we do to fix this mishap? It’s only happened twice thus far, but this is a bug that could become a problem very quickly, especially if you aren’t paying attention to it.

There needs to be some kind of restriction in the code so that you can’t earn commissions from your own purchases.

Normally, a lot of users actually like to keep that option open as it encourages more people to join the affiliate system. In your case, you can use the above mentioned option to disable it.
