    Hi there,

We have everything set up for the affiliate email, double checked the forum to see if there was an answer to the issue we’re having … not … so maybe you can help?

The email to new affiliates goes out no problem at all. However, the “from” address shows as mydomainlogin@box###myhostingcompany.com. Weird. We set it all to come from affiliates@ourdomain.com.

I checked to make sure that the “admin” email address set in WordPress is different from the email addresses for the affiliate program. They are.

    Any suggestions?

Also, how do we insert a “first name” tag for the welcome email? Similar to {user_name} but for their first name from the sign up form?

Thanks very much for your help

Do you have a plugin similar to the following that is globally changing the from email address of all outgoing emails?

WordPress Plugin – Change WP eMail From Details

There is no option to insert the first name by default. You can modify the email body to add the first name in the registration script.

    Hi there,

On #1, no we don’t have a plugin similar to the one above. Is that something we’re supposed to have? On all our other sites (don’t have the Affiliate/Member/Cart set up there yet), it goes out as we specify in the WordPress settings. So I guess my question is, do we need the plugin you linked to above to be able to fix this? If not, what next step do we take?

On #2, it IS (not yelling – just for emphasis) the email body we’re trying to insert the first name in, but we don’t know the short code for it. For example {fname} or [name] or ….

    Make sense?

    Thanks much

    Miki

I will send you an email to get site access so I can look into this.

#2 No, there is no such shortcode for affiliate name.
