Affiliate statistics not updating

I have several of your products (eStore, Affiliate, and Membership). All are installed on http://itmanagerstore.com. Several products are set up in eStore and we are selling them from a different WordPress site – http://itmanagerinstitute.com using the Buy_Now links such as http://www.itmanagerstore.com/?wp_eStore_buy_now=8

All works well.

Now I’m trying to set up the Affiliate capability and as soon as it is working I’ll tackle the Membership component. I have a few Affiliates created, banner and text links, etc. but in my testing we are not logging referral visits or sales. I’ve used the Affiliate Link assigned to my test account – http://www.itmanagerinstitute.com?ap_id=1000 . I opened another browser and used the link to go to the site and ordered an item but my statistics information does not get updated.

Here are the questions that may help you diagnose my problem:

1. Does the Affiliate plug-in have to be installed on the itmanagerinstitute.com site where my sales pages are?

2. Can I sell products on the itmanagerinstitute.com site and record affiliate activity even though the WP plug-ins are installed on the itmanagerstore.com site?

3. Maybe I have something set up improperly in the Settings?

4. Is there a delay time for the statistics to be updated?

I’m hoping I have not “shot myself in the foot” by installing the WP plug-ins on one domain and building my sales pages on another domain (both are WordPress sites). If the answer is that I have to send affiliate referrals to product pages of the domain where the plug-in resides, the question will be, “Is it possible to move all the plug-in software and data (product info, configuration info, etc.) from the itmanagerstore.com domain to the itmanagerinstitute.com domain, , , and do it easily?

I may have just answered my question. Looks like when I use an affiliate link and modify it to go to the itmanagerstore.com page where the plug-ins are installed instead of to the itmanagerinstitute.com sales pages, all works properly. I’m now seeing referral and sales stats updated.

Unfortunately, I need to be running everything from itmanagerinstitute.com. Is there an easy way to install the plug-ins on itmanagerinstitute.com and copy over the configuration, product, affiliates, etc. that I have set up on itmanagerstore.com?

Or maybe you have another solution to my dilemma.

Hi,

In your eStore settings in the “Payment Gateway” section, do you have your “PDT Identity Token” configured?

If not enter yours in that field and try again.

PDT is configured and this actually addresses a different issue than I’m now asking about.

Is there an easy way to install the eStore, Affiliate, and Membership plug-ins onto a new domain and copy over the configuration, product, affiliates, etc. that have been set up on the original domain?

Install the plugins on your new domain then export all your database table content from the old one so it can be imported in the new domain. The following posts have more info on it:
