Hi there,
I have purchased the WP e-store, Affiliate platform and the e-member. I don’t have any other integrations so I am bewildered as to why I keep getting an error when I try to have someone sign up as an affiliate, they get a 403 Forbidden Error.
I do have it set up so that when someone joins as a Member, they are automatically signed up as an affiliate so perhaps I am doing overkill by trying to test the affiliate platform and should have them just sign up as a member? Should I take out the affiliate sign up form? And if I do, how does one log in to check their affiliate account stats without getting that error?
The website is [http://worldawakenedproject.com]
Thanks,
Kerri
Hi Kerri, If you are going to make it so all your members will automatically get an affiliate account, you don’t have to worry about the separate affiliate signup side of things (an affiliate account will be created for the members when they signup via emember). The same goes for user login, when your members log into emember, they will also be logged into the affiliate side.
However, you shouldn’t see any error even when you try to use the plugin separately. To me it looks like you deleted the “register.php” file from the affiliate plugin (which is why you are seeing the error). Did you delete any file from the plugin? What modifications did you make to the plugin?
An “Error 403” is an indication that you have some kind of security setting on your server turned on, or perhaps a security plugin activated, that is denying you access to the requested URL:
