Hi, I see in your documentation it says to get rid of older version prior to upgrading.

Just wondering why not simply overwrite files via FTP? Faster…

If you want to upload via FTP that is totally fine. Make sure to deactivate and reactivate the plugin after you upload them via FTP.

Our recommended method is to use the plugin uploader via the WordPress dashboard. It is more user-friendly. You don’t lose any settings or other data saved in the plugin regardless of how you upgrade.
