Hello all
I have set up the Paypal PDT for my affiliate software, but I don’t have estore.
Do I need estore to track the sales and only manually pay them out?
I basically want the sales data to show up to my affiliates, but for me to pay them manually.
Also, when an affiliate signs up, if they simple use their affiliate ID (as clickable in the dashboard of their affiliate login area), will that award the sales to them, or do I have to set up something else?
Thank you!
March 8, 2013 at 10:43 pm #54295wpCommerceModeratorHi, each affiliate sale will show up under the “sales/comm data” menu of WP Affiliate Platform Settings and you should be able to do it without using eStore.
A sale is registered only if someone follows the affiliate link and makes a purchase. If it’s just a click no sale will be registered and no commission will be awarded until the user actually makes a purchase.
Your affiliate will be able to login to their affiliate account and check the number of referrals they made as well as the commission.

You said: “If it’s just a click no sale will be registered and no commission will be awarded either.”
What do you mean by just a click?
Is there any way to check the affiliate link is all set up correctly etc?
The thing is, my affiliate claims one of his list signed up and it didn’t show up as his sale. This was BEFORE I put in the Paypal PDT, so is that why it didn’t show up or?

Your affiliates can claim various things but that doesn’t make it true. What you want to do is setup the plugin and do a test yourself to make sure everything is working correctly. If you watch the above mentioned video tutorial you will have a better understanding of this.
Are you using WP eStore plugin and the WP Affiliate plugin?
