Tips and Tricks HQ Support Portal › Forums › WP Affiliate Platform › WP Affiliate Troubleshooting › Affiliate Login gets "Unsafe website" warning in Windows 10 Edge (only)
Tagged: Windows Edge
I’ve installed the WP Affiliate plugin on two websites that I’ve built for clients. It works in all browsers except for Microsoft Edge in Windows 10, which brings up a horrible red screen and this error message when you try to login: “This website has been reported as unsafe. We recommend that you do not continue to this website…”
I’ve tried disabling/deleting plugins, with no luck. Please advise asap. One of the sites just launched today and my client sent an email to a bunch of people inviting them to become an affiliate – yikes.
It would really help, if you could please post a link to the site(s) in question.
It sounds like your site(s) may have “inherited” a domain that is being blocked by Microsoft’s SmartScreen filter.
Thank you for checking on this!

The domain name(s) are being blocked by Microsoft’s SmartScreen filter. The reason it happens on Edge is because the filter is turned “On,” by default. The issue has nothing to do with the plugins (the IE default is “Off”). You need to resolve the issue with Microsoft:
P.S. A visit to the Internet Archives, might give you some insight into the domains “past lives” and reputations.
Thank you!
