Tagged: affiliate, affiliate id, Commission
I have approved affiliates and given them their links to promote ticket sales to an event. If a customer clicks on their affiliate link and buys a ticket at checkout and DOES NOT enter the affiliate ID at checkout, will the affiliate still get paid? Thank you for your time (first time I’m working with affiliates)
The manual entering of affiliate ID is not something needed by the plugin (usually people who do offline marketing use that option).
So yes, if a customer click on an affiliate link then make a purchase then it will generate affiliate commission for the referrer.
Hi Support team
on 13 Jun19 we received this email:
Affiliate commission notification
This is an auto-generated email letting you know that one of your affiliates has earned a commission. You can log into your WordPress admin dashboard and get more details about this transaction.
We logged into our WP admin dashboard and checked the WP Affiliate Platform – Sales Data and there is no indication of any sales for today 13 June19 from any affiliates. we are very concerned that we are told our affiliates getting commission but we can’t find them. there is no sales in our WooCommerce today. can you help us with this? thank you.
Go to the “Sales Data” menu of the plugin. Every commission that it awards will have an ID value in the “Unique Transaction ID” column. You can use that to figure out which order it refers to.
Our plugin by default uses the server’s date value which can be little bit different than your timezone. Also, sometimes your server can delay the email sending. So an email can land on your inbox on a different day (than when it was actually sent). Looking at an email is not the best option for this since there are many variables that can affect the timestamp of it.
A sale won’t just show up out of nowhere. So you can follow the trail of a commission by going to the sales data menu. Then find out where it came from.
