Affiliate Commissions Rollup?

Here is a question I got today about the affiliate system … we have a 2 level affiliate on a membership that pays for all paying members once referred by a members Affiliate link.

Let say a member Bob refers a member named john who signs up and is paying his membership and refers 20 people and thus gets the reoccurring commission for those 20 people. In our case it is 25% on first and 15% on 2nd based on a monthly of 19.99 per month. So it would be 20 x $5.00 for John or $100.00 per month and it would be 20 x $3.00 or 60.00 per month to the member who referred John. Now let say John sadly passes away. Does the sales of the initial 20 still get credited at the $3.00 per to the member Bob that referred John and where does the $5.00 commissions go … do they roll up? Thanks so much.

Hi, Commissions don’t roll up. John passing away doesn’t change anything in terms of who gets paid what unless you (the admin) decide to delete John’s affiliate account. If something like this (John passing away) do happen then edit john’s account and set his commission level to 0 and change the account password to something random so no one else have access to the account. This way all his tier affiliates will continue to receive commission as if nothing happened.
