Affiliate – Commission Setup

I am trying to make sure I fully understand the tiered commission setup.. so I will post my understaning and please correct me..

Facts:

Affiliate 1 – 1st Affiliate

Affiliate A – Signs up under Affiliate 1

Price of Object: 100

Commission Rates:

Tier 1 – 10%

Tier 2 – 5%

Scenerio 1: Buyer buys using Affiliate 1 link –

Commission Paid: Affiliate 1 – $10

Scenerio 2: Buyer buys using Affiliate A Link

Commission Paid: Affiliate A – $10, Affiliate 1 -$5

Question – can you do a combination of fix price per object sold and %

Price of object is $100

Facts:

Same Tiered commission as above for non-service items

Certain Services Products pay a fixed $ commmission – Tier 1 $20 / Tier 2 – $10

Yes your example is correct regarding the tiered commission calculation.

Question – can you do a combination of fix price per object sold and %

You cannot have a mixture of both fixed and % commissions.

Note that the settings menu of the affiliate plugin will determine whether the commissions are fixed or %.
