I’m using [wp_eStore_free_download_squeeze_form id=1]. Is the form associated to this shortcode AJAX? I could be wrong. Anyways, my issue is, after submitting a form, the page reloads to itself and displays the WP_ESTORE_EMAIL_SENT definition found in the languages/eng file.
I was thinking since this page reloads to itself, if there was a way to display the Adwords conversion javascript code when this message displays. To do this, I’m using the noscript 1 x 1 pixel part of the Adwords conversion code that looks like this:
<img height=’1′ width=’1′ style=’border-style:none;’ alt=” src=’//www.googleadservices.com/pagead/conversion/123456789/?label=3lkrlkjd3l3dlkj-QM&guid=ON&script=0’/>
My first concern is that I made all the double-quotes ” single-quotes ‘. Is this alright from a coding standpoint? Is it acceptable that this image script should render fine? I tested in my browser and it outputs single-quotes in the source code. Just looking for clarification here.
Second, just curious if there is a better way to do this? I’ve never ONLY used the Adwords conversion tracking noscript part of the conversion code. In the past, submitted forms have always went to a thankyou page and on that page I’d paste the ENTIRE javascript code. It always makes me nervous when trying something new. Is there a better way to fire the ENTIRE adwords conversion script?
Thanks
You can use the same thank you page approach with eStore’s squeeze form too. Edit the eStore product in question, and go to the buy now button specific settings section. There is a field called “Return URL” there. Enter your thank you page URL in that “Return URL” field. Now when the squeeze form for this product gets submitted, eStore will redirect the user to the thank you page (where you will have your tracking code).
The pixel tracking option will also work given the code is entered correctly in the language file. I think using the thank you page tracking option will be cleaner so try that first.
