Hi everyone,
First off, how MINT is this plugin??…best plugin i bought anyway, bigs up to the creators….
Now heres the problem i have…. everything has worked fine up to now, apart from this and it frustrating me….. when an affiliate first logs in they get the welcome screen right??…i want to change this image of the 3 stat colums to something else….I CANT, for some reason im changin the image and renaming my new one to the exact same and it’s not showing up….also when i tried to edit this specific image with in photoshop and fireworks, its saying cant edit this file because they dont know what it is….well its a jpeg isnt it…thats what it says…
Can anyone shed any light on this for me..?? much appreciated.
Brook
Glad to hear that you like the plugin. It is possible that you didn’t completely overwrite the old image (for example if the file extension do not match). To replace the image in the welcome page you need to replace the “wp_aff_stats.jpg” file from the following directory.
wp-affiliate-platform/affiliates/images
Also remember that your browser will cache the image after the first load so you might need a few refresh to get the new one. A good way to troubleshoot this is to view the HTML source code in the welcome page so you can see the URL of that image. Now if you enter that URL in the browser it will give you a clean view of exactly which file to replace.
The image files in the affiliate plugin are one of the following 3 types:
– jpg
– gif
– png
hi thanks, for the reply…much appreciated..
I managed do this in the end, i was trying to replace the jpg with png and didnt change file types, i think it had something to with the coding and so it wasnt displaying any images…if that makes sense.
Cheers again for the reply.
