Tagged: eStore Feature Request
Hi, I would like to add a field for each items COST, in other words we sell a product for $400 and it costs us $200. We would like to enter the cost and then be able to expire that into a spread sheet for further calculations. How can this be done? Tanks!
That would require adding a new column to the product database. Unless there is a regulatory reason for tracking the exact wholesale cost; for customer display (marketing) purposes, you might try modifying the PHP code to display the wholesale cost as a flat rate percentage of the sale price.
That would however, be considered a customization that is beyond the scope of this forum.
As for an actual “feature request,” please refer to the following.

Ideally, you would keep a spreadsheet where you cross reference your wholesale cost and the eSotre products (you don’t really need to store this value in eStore). I will suggest another hack that might work for you. You could potentially reuse the “Trial Billing Amount” field of the product to store your wholesale cost given these products are not subscription products. No one but the admin would know what you put in the “Trial Billing Amount” field of the product as long as you are not using a subscription type button. So you could use the value in that field to keep track of the wholesale cost.
