Hi,
i’m trying to add an user without confirmed opt-in so that the process could be like the follow:
– the customer buys a product
– the customer is added to a GetResponse campaign
– no confirmation mail is sended to the customer
I’ve disabled confirmed opt-in in GetResponse; only the import subscription is checked.
But customers still receive the confirmation mail.
I’m doing something wrong?
Thanks
Lorenzo G.

August 24, 2012 at 12:16 am #48606adminKeymasterThank you. The plugin is adding the contact correctly. Remember that GetResponse doesn’t allow the turning off double opt-in via the API. So I am not sure if that double opt-in settings you specified in your GetResponse account is taking effect for contact that gets added via the API. Please ask GetResponse about this and they should be able to confirm.
August 24, 2012 at 6:44 am #48607lorenzogiacominiMemberOk, thank you for the support. I’ll update this post as soon as GetResponse will give me an answer about it.
August 27, 2012 at 11:54 am #48608lorenzogiacominiMemberHere my update from GetResponse about add_contact API method:
Quote:Optin setting is locked to double optin by default – confirmation email will be sent to newly added contacts. If you want to add contacts already confirmed on your side please contact us using this form and provide us with your campaign name and the description of your business model. We will set single optin for this campaign after short verification. So you need to contact GetResponse support team to disable the double opt-in option.
