MemberI would like to ask for assistance on how I will be able to implement an option for the user to decide whether or not to subscribe to our newsletter when he/she registers to the site. I am using mailchimp to handle my lists one for the member registration and the other on the newsletter subscription

KeymasterThe easiest option would be to use the MailChimp integration feature of eMember. Then enabled double opt-int (this is enabled by default). This way when your users signup as a membership they will receive a newsletter list signup confirmation email from Mailchimp too. If they don’t want to signup then they can just ignore that email. If they do want to signup to the newsletter then they will click on the confirm link.
You can place this information on your registration page so they know what to expect when they are registering.

MemberThanks for your quick response. I would like to follow up another question.
How should I be able to add the other list name in the settings? As of now, I have in the text field the list name where I registered members by default are added. Does the feature you mentioned enable us to add another list name by means of comma separation?

KeymasterIf you want to signup all of your members to one big list then use the list name in the settings.
Alternatively, if you want to signup your members to different list on a per membership level basis then specify the list name in the membership level. Edit the membership level and you will a field labeled “Autoresponder List/Campaign Name” where you can specify a list name that only applies to that level.

MemberI tried to specify two different list name from my mailchimp into the amember settings. First list was added into the Autoresponder Settings while the other list was to all membership levels’ settings. Problem is that, I haven’t received any confirmation email from my 2 lists

KeymasterPlease enable debug from eMember settings then do a test signup and then share the content of the debug file which will tell us what the issue is.

MemberIs this option available on the WP eStore plugin?
If not, is there any code I can edit or plugin I can install to add this functionality?
Thanks!

Member“Is this option available on the WP eStore plugin?”
Do you mean the double optin option?
If so yes it is also in the eStore settings and the checkbox for this feature is called “Disable Double Opt-In”.
By default it is unticked (disabled) which means that your users will receive a confirmation email so they can decide whether they want to subscribe or not.
