Adding Date Fields to eMember registration forms

Hello,

Are there any plans to add a date field to the registration form (e.g. as a MM/DD/YYYY) drop down lists option? I know it can be created using the custom field option, but it will be a rather long process to do so and a date field is a pretty common option for registration forms. This would be really great to have as a standard option that could be included on a registration form. Thanks.
