We don’t have an option to have a link as the buy now link. I am going to add this to the plugin.March 27, 2011 at 8:50 am #30730
Adding it in would be fantastic otherwise unfortunately the plugin will be useless to me. I guess I should have inquired ahead of time…
Is there a timeline for the addition?

Added an option so you can use a text link for a “Buy Now” type button. You create a link like the following:
Replace “your-domain.com” with your actual domain name and “1” with the actual eStore product ID.
This will let the user buy Product 1 just by clicking on that link. You can now place these links on your eBook or facebook or twitter page and the user can click on it to purchase a particular product.
You can also make a HTML link like the following and place it on a web page:
<a href=http://www.your-domain.com/?wp_eStore_buy_now=1">Click Here to Buy</a>
You will to get an updated version of the eStore extra shortcodes plugin to get this functionality (you can get it from here):March 28, 2011 at 6:20 pm #30732

I may have spoke to soon… Is there a way to do that with an “add to cart” link as well?March 29, 2011 at 1:06 am #30734
Not yet. I have plans to introduce this text link approach for “Add to Cart” type buttons too. Usually when people want a text link for a buy button they want the “Buy Now” approach so I added that first.March 29, 2011 at 2:35 am #30735
I appreciate it. The sooner the better.

Hi, This has been added. Please get an updated version of the extra shortcodes plugin from here:
You can create links like the following:
1 is the product IDApril 4, 2011 at 11:58 pm #30738
You guys are amazing! Thank you!May 14, 2011 at 8:35 am #30739
Hey guys, I’ve run in to a problem with the text link shortcode you added for me. Whenever you click on the “add to cart” link it redirects back to the websites main page. My intention is of course to allow the customer to continue shopping. I don’t mind the page refresh, I under the GET post functionality and what not, I just need to leave them where they are. I don’t know if it’s just something that I need to change in the settings or not but I can’t for the life of me figure this out…

Aren’t you sending them to your “Checkout page” by using the “Automatic redirection to checkout page” checkbox in eStore settings? There will be a continue shopping link in the shopping cart (if you have specified it in the settings).May 16, 2011 at 9:33 pm #30741
I could do that, I was hoping the page would just refresh and they could continue shopping. I’ll do it that way then… Thank you!August 15, 2011 at 9:55 pm #30742kruttenMember
Any chance of getting this functionality for a “subscribe” button? Would be greatly appreciated…
