Add to cart button not working in IE plus plugin scrips showing up on page

Hi,

The add to cart button won’t work and scripts are showing in firefox. Not sure how to resolve this since things are functioning normally in firefox. Also, do you know if there are there other browsers I should check that typically need to be troubleshooted?

All the plugins are tested on all the major browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari). If it’s not working on your site for a particular browser then there is something else on that page (wrong HTML, CSS or javascript code) that is likely causing this behavior.

Please post a link to the page in question so I can check it out.

Also, just thought I’d mention that I checked the footer and header .php files and the codes mentioned in the article are there. I’ve heard that coding in IE often causes problems. My theme has two additional stylesheets for IE exclusively (one for v. 6 and one for v. 7). DO you think there’s anything in there I need to check for as well?

We don’t know for sure that your theme is the source of the issue just yet… it could even be another plugin. Will you please do this test and let me know your finding?

Test to (How to) Identify a Conflicting Theme or Plugin

When I access this page in IE8 I do not see any code.. what am I missing?

Hi,

I’m going to try the test this evening. Yes, the actual code is not showing up on IE 8(although it does in an earlier version). But what I see in IE 8 are two picture icons where the two pieces of code were in the earlier version. The shopping cart button still doesn’t work in IE 8 as well.

Hi, I successfully troubleshooted. FYI, the plugin WP super cache was preventing the item to be added to the cart on IE. Also, I found some images in the page HTML tab that were showing up in IE. Thanks for the help.

Could you please help me? I noticed that when I put my website (the one mentioned in the 4th post down) into google, this thread shows up. I would really like to avoid having potential customers see my web development steps and challenges and would like to see if there’s anything you can do to either remove the website.com from the post or delete the post if that’s not possible???
