I am using WordPress 3.4.2 and wp-emember 8.1.0
I’d like to know if it’s possible to store notes about members in their profile that’s only accessible to the Admin (me). The members would not be be able to edit or even see those notes- only the admin.
Thanks in advance for any tips/advice you can provide- thanks!

October 13, 2012 at 4:18 am #49951adminKeymasterWe have added this option in the eMember plugin.
October 13, 2012 at 6:39 am #49952johnw1965MemberThe new Admin only notes feature works well. Thank you for adding it.
Would it be possible to add an icon (or some other indicator) to the Manage Members dashboard so we know which members have Admin only notes attached to them?
Be even better if we could hover over the icon and quickly view the Note in a small popup or tooltip.
Maybe the appearance of this icon could be a preference in eMember Settings.

Thanks. looks like a good idea in terms of usability. We’ll consider this.
October 15, 2012 at 3:37 am #49954nurMemberHi johnw1965,
This feature is added now. It should be available when the next build is updated.
October 15, 2012 at 10:31 am #49955johnw1965MemberThanks.
I’m running eMember 8.2.7 but I’m not seeing any icon in Manage Members indicating the existence of an admin-only note against any member’s entry.
October 16, 2012 at 5:14 am #49956adminKeymasterThe new build is up so you should be able to download it now.
October 16, 2012 at 6:53 pm #49957johnw1965MemberThank you for the inclusion of this new feature.
However, I’m finding that simply dumping the entire contents of the Admin Notes field into the Manage Members screen is rather jarring and distorts the Manage Members screen.
The layout of the entire table is dictated by the Notes column. The more notes, the worse it gets:
See http://pinnacleweb.com.au/temp/emember-admin-notes-test.png
I’d prefer to see a discreet linked icon or text link in that Admin Notes column which merely indicates the presence of Notes and has minimal effect on the layout of the table.
Something like this:

Ideally, you could hover your mouse over that link and view the Admin notes in a separate pop up tooltip. Going a step further, you could even edit the Admin Notes directly via that pop up tooltip.
Please consider an icon or text link instead.
October 16, 2012 at 10:43 pm #49958nurMemberyou should clear your browser cache. Your browser didn’t pick up the updated css.
October 17, 2012 at 12:31 am #49959johnw1965MemberRunning eMember 8.2.9.
I’ve wiped all browser history, cookies and cache from IE8, FF 16 and Chrome 22. All clean.
Still getting the same results as shown in

Anything I’m missing?
Is the updated CSS file to which you’re referring part of eMember 8.2.9?
October 18, 2012 at 2:14 am #49960adminKeymasterHi, please download another fresh copy of eMember now and let me know how that goes.
October 18, 2012 at 2:37 am #49961johnw1965MemberMuch better. That’s excellent. Works great now.
Thank you very much.
March 29, 2015 at 9:25 am #49962orjanmenMemberIs it possible to include the admin notes as a column in the ics file (export all member info-function)?
March 29, 2015 at 11:41 pm #49963adminKeymasteryeah, we will look into adding that option in the plugin.
