Add a gift (downloadable product) to 'Thank You' page and to 'Product' email

Hi,

I want to give my customers a downloadable product for every purchase.

I want to add the link for downloading the gift to the ‘ThankYou’ page and to the email they receive which contains the products they already purchased.

The problem is to generate a random link for each user. I’m sure I saw a shortcode or some option to add a product-download-link but I just can’t remember if and where..

Need your help.

You can combine both the product and the gift in a zip file then use that as the downloadable item. So your product will be a zip file which contain the gift item and the main item. You can also use the “Special Offer Text” field from the coupons/discount menu to give special stuff to your customers on the “Thank You” page after which they will see after the purchase.
