    Hi,

I think I found the answer to my question in this thread:

    https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/manually-approving-a-user-after-registration

but thought it would be a good idea to check back and see if there have been any new developments or features since then. The premise of what I need to do is really simple:

    1. Here’s our join page: [http://informaticseducation.org/join-us/]

    2. Our Faculty membership is free, but they must fill out a form with valid credentials and only AFTER they are approved can they register for membership.

ONE IMPORTANT DIFFERENCE THOUGH – because we offer a paid student membership also, THOSE members should just be able to pay and get straight in (without approval). Is this dichotomy a problem?

Should I use the method in the thread I found above, or is there an easier way to do this now?

    Thanks,

    John

@Admin would have to comment on whether or not the “Manually Approve Registration” feature can be configured on a per membership level basis.

The membership account approval is needed only once (when the first time a user registers for an account). When existing user pays for premium membership, no more approval is required. If you slightly tweak your registration scenario to the 2nd one (see following documentation) then you might be able to achieve what you are after?
