Ability to attach reports (for service providers)

Is there any way to couple estore with emember or some other plugin to provide clients with reports?

they order, we do the work, and attach a report so that they can login and view it?

Is this possible?

Note, I don’t want to email the reports, I want to attach it and have it viewed through an interface on the site.

I’m not sure what you mean by “attach”.

If you mean upload, then yes you can quite easily create documents or whatever and upload them to your WP site and then use eMember to protect them.

Your appropriate customers would be the only people who will be able to view the documents with their eMember accounts.

Would that allow me to upload documents for a specific customer to view?

I will have different reports that need to be sent to each individual customer.

I think eMember’s section protection could come in handy for what you are trying to do:

Here is a rough guideline:

1) Create a new WordPress page for this client.

2) Embed/insert the report along with any other material in this page.

3) Now, use eMember’s member specific section protection around the content you created in step 2.

This way only this specific member (the user that you prepared the report for) can go to that page and view that content.

Thank you for the help. That won’t work for us, as we handle too many clients to not have it automated in some way, but that would be suitable if we worked with a smaller number of clients.

Note to the developer: add a way to have estore customers be able to login and view individualized reports that have been uploaded to their order, for their viewing, after a service has been completed for them. Login could be done through emember, just need a way to attach files to their orders that they can view.

That would make this plugin suitable for service providers, which I would be more than happy to promote it as an affiliate in that way. It would be the only WordPress plugin I’m aware of with this functionality.
