Someone had mailed an ad for me, and there was a / added after my ID. The page resolved fine. But now when I log into the admin system and look at the stats for all affiliates, I’m seeing the table display the following info:

    IG : 180 visits

    IG/ : 100 visits

There is only one IG users, (NO IG/ user) and i have no idea how to bridge these two now. I am certain it’s the same account.

These are just lead counts now, but we open shopping cart in a week, and I don’t want the slash to take the commission away from people.

    How do I resolve?

That is a mistake from your affiliate’s part and he/she will need to fix it so the link gets corrected. Contact your affiliate and request him to correct the link. You will be able to know exactly which page has this incorrect link from the clicks data.

    Yes, I know this.

Going forward, tho, the cookie is already set with the / at the end, and if people go back there, wont that false affiliate id be credited?

Should I just create a dummy account with the same credentials for IG/ to enable affiliate payout tracking?

    Thank you.

I don’t think you need to do that. As soon as the link gets corrected, new visitors will click on the new link and everything will work as usual. If any old visitor who clicked on the old link makes a purchase, you will be able to see it in the back end and you can correct it manually. You can delete a commission and add a new one (for the same amount) for a different affiliate account.

Ahh! Thank you! I had no idea I could manually change these things.

You saved my mind and hours of time. Greatly greatly appreciated!
