Hello, I think I understand how this works for the most part. However, I have a small question. Can the tier 2 affiliate register people below them or not at all? I did not know if this would bump them to the tier 1 rate and make their sub affiliates pay them at the tier 2 rate? I guess what I am asking is this a rolling 2 tier system or is it just 2 tiers and that is it?

Hi Nick, A 2nd tier affiliate can also have affiliates under him. The sales that his 2nd thir users bring, he will get the tier commission for those. Each affiliate can be a 1st or 2nd tier affiliate (it depends on the referral of the sale). If he directly made the sale then he is the 1st tier. If one of his referred affiliates make the sale then he gets the 2nd tier commission.

OK – example: If Maria is a 1st tier and she refer Joan to become an affiliate – but Joan only want to be an affiliate – she doesn’t want to buy my product – How Maria can integrate Joan into her referral affiliate?
Example: 1st tier 25% of commission / 2nd tier 10% of commission
1. Maria sell my product to 5 people – maria is 1st tier and she is going to get 25% of commission for those 5 people, correct?
2. Then Maria has a friend and she want her to sell the same product – her friend, Joan, want to sell the product but she doesn’t want to buy the product, how she can be a referral from Maria?
How the system knows that Maria referred Joan?
If Joan sell the product to 5 people she is going to receive the 25% of commission and Maria is going to receive 10 % of commission, it is right?

Hi Yes I read that article before – I’m confuse – example: If maria is an affiliate – and want to refer Joan to be an affiliate NOT a customer – which link Maria need to send to Joan? I need to create a affiliate registration link?
In the comments section of that documentation page, @admin explains how 2nd tier affiliate signups work:
So, Maria sends Joan to the affiliate signup page, using her (Maria’s) affiliate ID. Joan signs up as an affiliate and (Joan) gets her own affiliate ID. The plugin associates Joan as a 2nd level affiliate of Maria.
