An example: a user subscribes to free membership and this kind of membership doesn’t expire.
Then, after a few days, he decides to upgrade to the paid membership L1.
I set L1 duration to 30 days.
Then I set the automatic upgrade to L2 membership after 7 days and upgrade to L3 (from L2) after another 7 days. L2 and L3 don’t expire.
I want the customer pays a monthly fee to see the contents released every 7 days but I also want that, if he doesn’t pay, he will not able to access content.
With the above settings the system can work?
Another question: what if the customer stops paying (for example at the second week so he can see L1 and L2), then he renews the subscription after a while time (for instance after a month). Does the plugin will also allow him to see the levels for which he has not paid (in my example L3, L4, L5, L6)?
Thanks
Lorenzo

When a member breaks the membership payment cycle his account will be inactive (he won’t be able to see any protected content). When he pays for the membership level he will start from the beginning again unless you create particular membership level buttons for each membership level where you want him to pickup from.

Yes, this is the user’s path:
– he subscribes to the free membership
– if the user pays he can access to the “first level” (L1) and he’s able to see L1 contents
– after 7 days plugin (Auto Upgrade) upgrades the user to the second level (L2) where he can access either L1 contents either L2 contents
– after 7 days the user can see L3, L2, L1 contents and so on (until he continues to pay).
I’m doing some tests and there is something strange: I tried to sign up to membership L1. Auto Upgrade was set to upgrade, after a day, at level L2 and L3 after another day:
L1 Promote to L2 after 1 Day the Subscription Start Date
L2 Promote to L3 after 1 Day the Subscription Start Date
My test user subscription date is 23-08-2011
Today (24-08-2011) his membership level is L3 instead of L2 and when I sign in I’m able to see only L1 contents (despite content protection is correctly set).
