Hi,
APOLOGIES FOR REPOSTING BUT I SUSPECT I ORIGINALLY POSTED IN THE WRONG FORUM.
I want to use eMember and eStore to process memberships for my football (soccer) betting tips site in the UK.
My membership structure is a little complicated, so bear with me and I will try to explain.
There is a FREE Membership which allows access to the lowest level of information free as a “taster” and to collect an email list.
There are 20 Football teams and there is a CLUB membership for each which allows an individual to select their club and subscribe. They will have access to all posts for their club (a single category)and access to the FREE FORM GUIDE for all clubs.
There is also a CLUB+1 and a CLUB+2 type of membership where they can select 2 or 3 teams respectively. This gives access to all posts for the 2 or 3 clubs and the Free levels of access.
I guess that so far it is relatively easy and I can use stackable memberships and apply some sort of discount based on how many clubs are in the trolley. Upgrades will require a bit more work, and I would welcome your thoughts on how I could manage the upgrades say from Club or Club+1 to either the next CLUB LEVEL or one of the higher services (PREMIER5 and PREMIER10 – see below)
Now each week there will be 10 football (soccer) matches between the 20 teams and I have a “full membership” which I call PREMIER10 and this gives access to all 20 teams and all of the match data. again, quite easy I think. This level of membership gets access to all of the CLUB Categories. And for upgrade I can simply stack all teams or delete the teams and switch to PREMIER10.
The problem comes with a service I call PREMIER5 which gives access to 5 matches (10 teams) each week, but they will be a different 5 matches with a different set of 10 teams each week to spread the teams around and to allow me to give betting tips for which I have the greatest level of statistical certainty.
AND…..
I would also like this level of membership to select up to 3 teams that will always be in his 5 matches (10 clubs).
I looked at doing this with just eMember and Paypal and it seemed impossible, but I feel sure that the answer lies in the “stackable” facility in eShop. I just need a little shove with the logic and the settings to get things configured right!
Any help you can provide would be most welcome.
Best regards
NeilC

Basically, you need to check the “Enable Secondary Membership” feature from eMember. This will make it to where people can have multiple memberships in their profile. Payment Buttons created with both eStore or Plain PayPal button will be able to handle this.
Regarding the “PREMIER5” level… I don’t really have a good example of how to handle this one but maybe you can create another category for this. Each week you will need to change the category assignment of the 5 teams that you want this level to have access to (you an have as many categories as you want to create multiple filter levels).

And this also allows the 1, 2, and 3 CLUBS to be assigned for a PREMIER-5 member.
It also allows me to do a big upgrade push from CLUB levels to PREMIER levels. THe flexibility of these two products together is marvellous.
Best wishes to all at TIPS AND TRICKS
