New installation of WP-eStore – I’m a former user of WP Shopping Cart.
Installation went just fine, able to create automatic coupons and categories, created two products to test, all good, transactions working fine, then I went in to tidy up the entries and add a few hyperlinks and images and that’s where the trouble started. The update of the product was very slow and I’m finding that if I create the product and fill out all the additional details fields that I would want to, on pressing save the product I get a one minute delay and then a 504 gateway error. Further I find that I can create a product without the additional information with no delay or error, and then I can add the category and save it – I get the 504 but the data is saved, and then I can update the thumbnail URL save it and get the 504 error but the data was saved, and that’s it. I can’t amend the record after that.

Anything obvious?
No firewall or proxy or VPN. No other services are affected, just adding/updating products. Most bizarre. Are the PHP & MySQL versions okay? And no issues reported with WP 5.2.4?
Further digging, this seems to be related to fields that have URLs such as thumbnail imagery and product links only. The rest of the check boxes and basic fields have no issue with them. When I’ve created a product with all the boxes filled in as desired, options, variations, categories etc. all is well. When I add a thumbnail or a product link, that’s when the fun starts. Ridiculously, the product thumbnail addition causes the 504 but when I examine the product online, the thumbnail is active and there. Product links, however, are not saved.
So where I’m at then is that I can create products if I follow a specific sequence and accept the error messages, but cannot include hyperlinks.
