The PDF stamper gives a 502 Gateway error on the download link. The email download link works fine for some reason.
I tested: there is no error without the plugin. And my site meets the requirements, I used the plugin checker. My host is WPEngine.
I saw this thread on this issue: https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/pdf-stamper-getting-502-gateway-error
Has this been resolved?
I am using the most recent version of the pdf stamper plugin, downloaded today. [http://lsathacks.com/books/] is the url of the store. I can provide a testing coupon if you PM me (I don’t want to make it public).
Update: The stamping works inconsistently. I’ve had it fail via email. I’ve never had it work with the regular download link or manual stamping.
March 20, 2014 at 2:05 pm #61731wzpModeratorIn the case of the referenced thread, the user was trying to host the file being stamped on a CDN. The PDF Stamper requires the source and destination files must be hosted on the same system the plugin is installed on (See first question):
So, are you trying to stamp files not hosted on the same machine as the plugin?
March 21, 2014 at 9:18 pm #61732graemeblakeMemberAh, that’s it. WPEngine automatically moves pdfs to my CDN. So I’m guessing the solution is to contact them and create an exclusion for the pdfs I want stamped?
March 21, 2014 at 10:36 pm #61733wzpModeratorYup
March 23, 2014 at 1:58 pm #61734graemeblakeMemberOk, they said they can do that.
By the way, is there a way to only stamp certain files? I’m using woocommerce. There are some things that I sell that I don’t want to stamp. I checked the pdf stamper docs and menus and couldn’t find anything on this.
March 24, 2014 at 3:23 am #61735adminKeymasterIt will only stamp the PDF files. You want an option so you can exclude some PDF files from being stamped?
March 26, 2014 at 1:23 am #61736graemeblakeMemberYes, exactly. For some pdf files, I am a reseller, and the licensor wants them stamped. For others, that I make myself, I don’t care about stamping them and would like to deliver them as they are.
Is this possible?
March 26, 2014 at 2:16 am #61737wzpModeratorIf you were using eStore, there is an option to selectively stamp files. Maybe the @admin can add a similar option for WooCommerce.
April 2, 2014 at 12:04 am #61738graemeblakeMemberThat would be excellent. It’s a major feature for me – there are many pdfs I don’t want to stamp, and woocommerce has worked well and I don’t want to switch platforms.
April 2, 2014 at 3:58 pm #61739adminKeymasterI have added an option for it. Sent you an update via email.
