Hi Amin,
I’m currently working a site where we’re looking forward to using the 2nd Tier commissions for Affiliates. Using Version v4.9.4 of WP Affiliate at the moment and just noticed that, while it’s possible to override the first tier Commission Level for individual Affiliates, it’s not possible to set the second tier.
Basically, the reason why this is important in terms of Affiliate Marketing is so that it’s possible to provide extra incentives for “Super Affiliates”. It’s good to be able to do both the first and second tiers for individuals, as they’ll then want to do a great job of both selling the product as well as getting new Affiliates signed up.
Anyway, is there any chance that a second tier Commission Level could be set for Individual Affiliate details?
Cheers,
Zain
December 7, 2011 at 4:21 am #39291adminKeymasterAre you using it with eStore? If you are then eStore has an option to set the 2nd tier commission on a per product basis. I am trying to understand what sort of setup you have in terms of the conversion so I get better understand the need.
January 11, 2012 at 8:15 am #39292ZainParticipantYup – Certainly am using WP eStore together with the Affiliate plugin.
Basically, it’s not so much about setting 2nd Tier commissions on an “per product basis” but for 2nd Tier for “individuals”.
I’ve just updated to the latest version of the Affilaite in the last few days and looking at the fields for individual Affiliates, there’s one for “Commission Level (% or $)” that can be set. However, there’s not a “2nd Tier Commission Level”.
It would be nice to also be able to increase the 2nd Tier, if a particular Affiliate is doing well.
Does that make sense?
Cheers,
Zain

March 7, 2012 at 1:45 am #39294kimjcastleberryMemberI stumbled on this post by search as I was contemplating the same questions but I have not seen if it’s been updated.
Zain is very accurate about the issue. Second tier is usually used to incentivize individual Super Affiliates and control on it would be considered “important”.
Thanks for all you do to help us take care of our affiliates Amin
March 17, 2012 at 7:58 am #39295JanelleMemberThis is a feature that I would like to use also!
March 17, 2012 at 10:38 pm #39296adminKeymasterThis feature has been added to the plugin. You can now edit an affiliate’s profile from the dashboard and specify a 2nd tier commission.

March 18, 2012 at 12:09 am #39298JanelleMemberI just did the “Automatic Update/Fresh Download Link Request” and upgraded my plug-in. I went to “Manage Affiliates,” clicked “Edit” on one of my affiliate profiles, and I do not see the field for overriding the 2nd Tier Commission. How can I get a hold of the version that has this update? Thank you!
March 18, 2012 at 2:55 am #39299JanelleMemberI just figured out that the version I downloaded today (from automatic update request) is 5.0.0, which is the same version I already had! OOPS. Next time I will know to check the version number before updating…
In the meantime, I am about to request a Manual Update to see if I can get the version with this feature added. Thank you!
September 25, 2012 at 10:16 pm #39300VF2FMemberHi we are running a wp affiliate for a membership with 2 level the product being the membership amount of 19.99 the first level for direct referrals is 25% then the 2nd level for indirect referral is 15% and we were wondering if that is how it will process? We want to make sure we have it setup correctly before we launch. The other question we have is can we place referral manually under people so when they pay their fee they get credited for the referral. Thanks
September 26, 2012 at 2:40 am #39301adminKeymasterYes, you are correct on that.
Yes, you can place an affiliate under another affiliate manually.
1) Edit the affiliate who you wish to place under someone else
2) Go to the “Referrer ID” field
3) Specify the affiliate ID of the parent affiliate (this will be the 2nd tier affiliate)
