I have just bought eMember and am getting along OK with it, but I have a couple of questions.

Our site is to offer free membership to both patients & GPs, however the content will remain separate.

I have read other posts about having more than one free login and have set this up, however I need BOTH to require manual approval…

By adding [wp_eMember_registration_form_for level=3], it automatically approved the user and said they could login (we need to verify they are actually a GP first)

My second question is, can you edit the questions asked in a registration? these would need to be specific to the GPs application.

    Thank you for your help

    Hi,

    Regarding your questions:

1)I need BOTH to require manual approval….. By adding [wp_eMember_registration_form_for level=3], it automatically approved the user and said they could login (we need to verify they are actually a GP first)

Check your member’s status and I think you’ll find that they should be “inactive”. As long as you have enabled the “Manually Approve Member Registration” checkbox then this should work.

I think the email which is sent which says that registration is complete is a bit misleading and I will talk with Admin see if this can be modified.

    2) can you edit the questions asked in a registration?

If by this you mean can you add custom fields and other fields – then yes you can.

    See this post:

    Hi Peter.

Thanks for your reply – indeed the user was inactive but yes, if you could do something about that, otherwise there’s going to be an influx of people saying their login doesn’t work and losing faith in the quality of the site…

Thank you also for your help with the custom fields etc. I will have a crack at this and see how we get on

    Hi Peter

I have added the custom fields but they are out of alignment with all of the others (see http://www.liferight.co.uk/gp-registration )

Is there a way to line these up please?

    Thank you

    Hi,

I suspect your theme might be screwing up the alignment.

Can you try these tests to see if there is a conflict:
