Please enable the debug logs and run a download test. Then check the download_manager_debug.log file to see if there is a matching “DL completion status” message for each “DL method dispatch” message. If you don’t see matching dispatch/completion messages, it means the download script was terminated by the server; because the server’s session timeout value was exceeded.
The session timeout is something that you have little control over, because it is set by the hosting provider. There are numerous reasons for why the value gets exceeded, but the common denominator is large files.
