    Hi Amin,

First: GREAT PRODUCTS you’ve got here. I have the eStore/eMember/Affiliate bundle.

I really like the idea of protecting my free download through your squeeze page. However, rather than sending the subscriber an email with an encrypted download link, I’d like the encrypted link to take them to an encrypted page; kind of like what I think you offer in your pay per view capability, where the page url is apparently cloaked and cookied, so even if they passed the url, no one else could get to the page with it.

I’m looking for this capability because I want them to go to a page that contains an embedded video that plays immediately and files for download, much like what Eben Pagan often does in his launches, selfmadewealth.com being his current one.

Is there a way to do this? I know I can send them to an unencrypted/unprotected url, but I’m looking for that PPV-type thing. And actually, since that page contains download links, is it possible to encrypt THOSE download links on the page as well?

Hopefully this all makes sense. Thanks!

Yeah using Pay per view option should do. This page explains how to use it:

On that page you can use shortcode to place encrypted download buttons. All shortcodes are explained here:

“I really like the idea of protecting my free download through your squeeze page.”

I too like a similar idea. This is the only page I can find in this forum that comes close to what I’m looking for. I need a squeeze page for free video web page views, not downloading products.

    This page:

    http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/using-wordpress-permalinks-as-digital-products-apr-1217

    says this:

“Authenticated Page Redirect (APR) allows you to offer secure one-off access to WordPress pages and posts, without requiring the services of a membership plugin.”

I’d like to have a “free view” button or link to offer that takes people to squeeze page. Once they have filled in the required squeeze page info and hit a “submit” type button, they immediately go to a web page that contains an embedded video that plays for free. This means, each free video would have a dedicated squeeze page.

I have eStore, eMember and Ultimate Lightbox. I haven’t yet installed and activate WP eMember yet, but it seems that’s not required when it says “without requiring the services of a membership plugin.”

    What’s confusing is this description:

“Now, whenever an encrypted link, pointing to an APR target is processed by eStore; an APR cookie will be issued, before the browser is redirected to the APR target, by the download manager script. This way your customers can only view the protected content on that page after they have made a payment.”

“… after they have made a payment”. <<<<<<

But I’m trying to set up a sqeeze page to view protected content that’s doesn’t require payment. Even though it’s free, I can’t allow the contemt to be unprotected for contractual reasons.

Hope this makes sense. Thanks. GW

You can use APR protected pages with squeeze forms or Download Now buttons. APR protection allows you to treat WordPress pages the same way as you would any other digital product. The default context of the documentation assumes that your motive for protecting things is profit driven 8)

OK Great. Your response has stimulate my thought process, but it’s too late to stay focused. I’ll experiment with this tomorrow. Regards, GW
