Hi all
Thanks for all your help with adding the html5 player – much appreciated.
Any idea when you will be adding the poster image and autostart shortcode functionality? I have a client waiting on this and would like to give them a timescale.
Thanks

June 23, 2011 at 12:58 pm #33499damiendohertyMemberFantastic. Is this available now? If so, should I just download the plugin from wordpress or will you provide a new link and instructions etc? Thanks very much for your responses.
Cheers

June 24, 2011 at 12:51 am #33500wpCommerceModeratorWe have added this feature. Please get a recent build of the plugin from here –
Once you update the plugin please go to
WP Lightbox->Library Settings->HTML5 Settings
section and check the “Autoplay” option to automatically play the video. If you want to use poster for a video you need to use the following shortcodes –
Overlay from anchor text:
[wp_lightbox_anchor_text_html5_video link="http://www.example.com/video1.mp4" poster="http://www.example.com/video-poster1.png" width="640" height="480" text="Click here to open the video with HTML5"]
Overlay from anchor image:
[wp_lightbox_html5_video link="http://www.example.com/video2.mp4" poster="http://www.example.com/video-poster2.png" width="640" height="480" source="http://www.example.com/anchor-image.png"]

June 28, 2011 at 1:37 pm #33502damiendohertyMemberSorry guys but there is still a problem with the plugin. In Firefox if you close the popup window and then open it again you lose the video completely. You can get it to play again by clicking the pause button after a while but there is no sound with the video this time. Any ideas? Also the autostart doesn’t work in Firefox – I assume this is because it is using the flash fallback? Here’s the test page again: http://www.modula4.net/test
Cheers

June 29, 2011 at 7:31 am #33503wpCommerceModeratorWe have fixed the autoplay functionality in Firefox. Please get a recent build of the plugin from here –
The flash fallback function is not robust so we still couldn’t fix the sound problem. Hope once FireFox starts supporting HTML5 there won’t be any sound issue.
June 29, 2011 at 9:53 am #33504damiendohertyMemberHmm. Thanks for the quick response. Firefox is still not autostarting on initial start up – though the video does now re-appear when you re-open the window. Having no sound when re-starting the video is a real problem though. Any ideas what is causing this? Presumably must be something up with the flash player?
Thanks

June 30, 2011 at 1:04 am #33505wpCommerceModeratorIt should automatically play the video on initial start up. We have already tested it. Can you please post a link to the page so I can check it out?
The HTML5 shortcode was made so the video can be played on HTML5 supported browser. We didn’t focus completely on non-HTML5 supported browser. However, we have a flash fallback so you can still play the video on different browser.
Probably the problem is with the flash player. We still couldn’t find the source of the issue.
July 1, 2011 at 10:19 am #33506damiendohertyMemberHi
The problem is only with Firefox – which doesn’t support html5 so is falling back to the flash player. It doesn’t autoplay and when you close the window, having played part of the video, and then re-open it, it plays with no sound. Here’s the same test page: http://www.modula4.net/test

July 2, 2011 at 1:30 am #33507wpCommerceModeratorYour page might be cached. Try refreshing it couple of times. Autoplay is working fine for me.
May 2, 2013 at 7:28 am #33508Frank3DMemberAutoplay is NOT working for me in any browser I have it checked for all options in settings and nothing gets it to play automatically.
The page is [http://faithwesleyanchurch.org/staff]
May 2, 2013 at 11:27 pm #33509wpCommerceModeratorHi, can you please share the exact shortcode you are using?

May 5, 2013 at 12:11 am #33511wpCommerceModeratorHi, please use the shortcode like the following to enable “autoplay” functionality:
[wp_lightbox_mp4_video link="http://s3.amazonaws.com/fwc-Media/Pastor%20Ray.mp4" width="640" height="480" source="http://faithwesleyanchurch.org/wp-content/uploads/iwpr.jpg" autoplay="true"]
